After the first mood board was scrapped, we decided that we should add certain elements to the new one so that it would be more appropriate to our film. That was one of the major problems we had with the original mood board, that it had too much to do with blood and gore, making it appear although it was a horror film as opposed to a crime-thriller. We had no images of any form of law enforcement or weapons beside surgical equipment.
The new mood board for Incision

About the board:
The Agents with guns represent law enforcement and justice seekers. They are essential to the movie as it reminds the audience that this is primarily a crime investigation movie. The image just below it toward the left represents the criminal doctor and his sadistic methods of torturing people, his look showing that he enjoys what he does. This is further supported by the surgical tools placed below him, that imply ideas of surgery and 'incisions'.
We kept the 'bloody face' and 'rotten mouth' image for the gore effect and added an explosion scene to promise the audience action.
